I was there on Thursday and there were a lot of people there. Show wise, I was expecting to see more tractors there. From what was there Thursday, I would say the A-C tractor turnout was comparable to what I've seen in Amana. I would say from a tractor/equipment numbers point of view, the Orange Spectacular in Hutchinson wins hands down without question. When you take in account the flea market area, it's huge. Probably bigger than most county fairs in Iowa I've been to. I was disappointed in the numbers of tractors, especially with it being a Gathering of the Orange. I do understand FL is a long way to go though. The Antique Village is really neat, along with all of the buildings put up by club members. I've never seen anything like that. Jack and Barb Gustafson have one of the largest buildings with displays of collectible items. If you're looking for numbers of tractors, this is not a big show. If you're looking for parts or flea market type things, this is a big one.

I agree it was a good show, I'm sure the distance off the beaten path and the price of fuel kept the number of tractors down

The Portland IN GOTO had over 400 pieces of Allis equip. Portland is in the midst of Allis country, WI, IL, IN, MI, OH. Like Joe says FL is off the beaten path. The Flywheelers is unique with its village, flea market and all types of machinery, old cars and you name it. They have three shows a year, and if you are anywhere near it is worthwhile going. Next show is Nov 9-12/11, then Jan 18-21-12 and Feb 22-25-12.

I believe the reason for the large number of attendance is because of all the snow birds looking for something to do.
They do have a nice village and show grounds. And yes Jack's is great. Dusty

I really enjoyed the Village section. Agree that the AC "head count" seemed low compared to the other two GOTO's (Leyton, WA and Farmington, ME) I've been to. The flea market is huge...would have been really nice if the golf carts and ATVs hadn't been there - raised a lot of dust and made walking around a challenge! The construction equipment area was a blast. We were there on Thursday so maybe more orange came in for Friday/Saturday....hope so!

You should have seen it before they made the lanes one-way for motorized vehicles.

Went to a classic car show the next day where no golf carts were allowed. What a difference - walking around the flea market was a treat without the dang carts.
