|   this is the one side that shows part of front cover that i am not sure of, this engine came from a combine or tractor i dont know, without governor i rigged up throttle cable to carb directly . | |

   That looks like a diesel 2900 or 2800 front cover, as that plate is where the injection pump would bolt on... unless that's where the governor would bolt on for a gas engine? Hurst | |

   It is a diesel front plate and cover. The gov. on a gas is in front in top middle.  MACK
