Jack, it could be that the linkage is not allowing it to go into park.  Or, is it going in, and nothing is happening?

Let's assume that High range works and Low range also works with neutral in-between them is working. To engage "Park", you move the lever to the left from neutral and then pull rewards even deeper than Low range is. From neutral if you move to the left and pull rearward and it only goes partway, see if the tractor moves.....if it does,  it's in Low range not Park and it's very probable that it is just a broken/disconnected "side-shift" cable which goes from inside the console to under the cab floor....a relatively easy fix. It could also be worn out linkage inside the range transmission, but you need to test the cable therory first.

If it goes into park but jumps out of park the park pawl needs to be replaced. This is a fairly easy job, as it's just a few bolts, and the whole park mechanism comes out.

Went to look at it and I think the cables are all messed up because the lever won't even go near the park position. The tactor sounds good but I think the engine has problems because there seems to be a little water coming out with the blowby. I don't know if the water could be codensation or and internal leak. I may just part it out.JP

Water as in green coolant?  Anything but smoke and air coming out of the blow by tube, is strange, even condensation in the engine would "burn off" rather than come out in water form.  How long has it sat, do you know?  If something is cracked inside, it would show up in the oil, but I still don't see how it would come out the blow by.  Very interesting.  Does it have a lot of blow by.  The only thing that comes to mind is it it was really cold, and had a fair amount of blow by, as the warm/hot moist air was leaving the engine, the cold tube was making the vapor condense on the inside of the tube, then it dripped out.
