i would recommend ordering the kit from a dealer that sells ac parts or if u know what size pistons sleves and rings u need u could get them from any place that sells them. it would probably run for about 900 to 1000 dollars if u are lucky maybe 800 but things are always more expensive online so dont order them from a website unless u really have to.

Unfortunately, I'm not blessed with that great of a local dealer. But I do appreciate your reply.

The high compression kits really can do wonders for the 426s and 301s.  I think Herschel Adams is the company that still makes the M&W designed kit, but PowerMax makes a high compression kit, but at least for my 301 kit, they use a standard upper ring, where the M&W kit I believe uses an L-shaped ring to help boost cranking compression at those lower speeds.  All the parts for my 301 from Power Max were of name brand except the pistons and sleeves, which they told me were made in their factory here in the US (forget which state).  Good luck!

where you located? I have a very good local Agco Heritage parts dealer here, and he also deals in Howard Enterprises, as well as others. The 3400 kit will end up being the same as a 3500, I doubt anyone still makes the early style na pistons, if there was ever a difference. pm me if you want his contact info. Ed.
