Looking for suggestions on a better mannual to assit me in understand the workings of a D-14. If anyone has found one better than another. Thanks in advance for tips on this.

Factory is best, I&T is a close second.

If you have a choice, go with the factory manual. I&T  covers multiple models, but is less specific.

My wife bought off of ebay 3 years ago genuine ac manuels for my WD45 on cd. A good friend told me they were the same as the print versions he had. If you shop there make sure the seller  is using the same as I bought. Those three books (parts, owners and service) have been so valuable to me. Good luck to you on your hunt I hope you can hit the mother load too!

Another vote for the O.E. factory manuals. The factory D17 manual has more in it for just the D17 than the I&T manual has for the D10 thru D17. I'll bet the D14 manual is the same...
