I saw a big new Lexion combine on the road the other day.  It had Claas on it instead of Cat.  Did the Cat/Claas hookup come to an end?

The new combines at the local cat dealer all still say Cat on them and they have been selling them.  Are you sure about 2004?

I drive by the Omaha Claas/Lexion plant often.  The Cat name has been off of the building for years now!  2004 sounds about right.

This is the first year they have changed the outside look, without the Cat name on it. You have a good eye spud. Only says in little letters cat powered. And like benk said, the big one has a Mercedes.500 and some hp,suppose to be a class 10

It was still painted yellow and black.  I imagine they will phase them back to green and white over time.

If I'm not mistaken the Class Combines I saw at the National Farm Show in Boone IA were black and yellow and either in the same lot as the CAT equipment or right next to it.  I thought I heard before that AGCO didn't want CAT dealers selling Class combines and they said they were still going to.  Who knows.

The divorce was announced in December 2001 on "Black Monday" as it was nick-named.
