That loader looks exactly like the "414" loader I have on my series II D-17. The rear mounting brackets appear to be homemade though. I was lucky enough to find a pair of mounts for a D-17 and make a decent trade as mine was on a D-15 when I got it. I was also fortunate enough to find a snow bucket for mine, not an AC but a "remanufactured" one.
Nice looking machine you have there!

Thanks guys.
Ron yes the brackets are homemade my dad made the about 16 years ago when he bought the loader. It came off a D19. I am hoping to find the factory mounts for it. I added the grill guard and the lights on it. There was to many time I was wrapping hay with it in the dark. We have 4 buckets for it they inclued a farm and barn bale spear (that is the one in the picture) a dirt bucket and manure bucket that a welding shop built for us and a true AC manure bucket that my dad turned into a bale spear. I am going to try to save the ac bucket it needs alot of work but would like to have it for shows when the tractor and loader are prettyed up.

If the loader came off a D-19 it is most likely a 500 series and specificaly a 519.
With the proper mounting kit for a D-17 it would be a 517 loader.

I have noticed in my parts book that someone wrote in pencil a "Serial #" for a loader, that said it appears they were serial #'ed as someone stated in first post. My 500 series unit has no tag/or holes or indication it was tagged, maybe someone will chime in about the tag, is it Decal/metal tag?. Check those grease fittings in pin's, somewhere they changed them, that may help nail down the year[s] it was built. Yours does have flat steel plates around the lower pin holes which also indicates some change possibly. There are different part numbers for example on RH Frame, Early # is 343268, New # 346442, for the 417 loader.

What size is the square tube at mid-point in boom assy? I have noticed 2 different sizes used there. The 500 series being a larger sq tube, can measure mine if needed, can't remember off hand.

Looks like a 400 series to me. The 500 series the uprights are taller. The strap over top of tractor would have a larger gap. The 400 hundred was closer to tractor. Both 400 and 500 series had tanks in uprights before 1965. HTH Tracy Martin

It dont bother me. I am use it. But I never thought about it till you asked me that. All the other loaders I run is joystick right hand. The thing I like about it the most is the pump on the frount the loader, running off the crank it moves fast. What I am getting at is I sold some stuff for a lady that was sitting in the shed cents 92 I use here 504 Ih with a loader the move stuff around the hyd. for the loader ran off of the outlets in the back. When you move the loader you had time to look around do your taxes and what not. IT WAS SlOW! Eric
