    Posted: 11 Jan 2011 at 6:17pm
Hi

Has anyone put on an aftermarket Garret turbo on their D19 tractor?  Does it perform well?  Does it fit well (intake and exhaust ports are in the right place)?

Does a guy need the aftermarket kit that comes with...must be for adapting the pressure and return line to the turbo itself?

Thanks in advance for the help,
Terry

put a T01 off a 190. You'll need to use your elbow. Works great, that is what i put on mine.

Bryan-Did you have to do anything special to plumb the oil lines?  How much is this T01 turbo?

Thanks,
Terrt

I have a TO 4 on E bay that will end tomorrow night at about 7:20.  It is a re manufactured unit.  I had two of them and the other I just mounted on my D 19 D.  It was the same turbo as was on the 19 when I got it about 6 weeks ago.  I'm not saying it was original but it was the same as was on mine so I did not have to do anything except install it.  Den

On your turbo, are there threads for both the oil supply and oil return fittings to screw into?

Can you please take a picture of it installed on your brother's D19 so that I can see these oil lines?

Thanks
Terry

I cannot seem to get things to work tonight but you can link to my album of the pictures I just took of the turbo installed on my D 19 D.  The first picture is the oil outlet side of the turbo.  When we installed the turbo we noticed that the fitting that bolts to the turbo looked homemade and that may be the case.  The second picture is the inlet port which is threaded.  The third picture is the input side of the turbo installed and the fourth is the outlet side of the turbo installed.  The fifth picture is the outlet side of the turbo showing the turbo and the entire line to the block and the final picture is a view of the turbo with the line going off to the pump.  Hope this is what you were looking for.  Den
