Does anyone have a good fix for the unstyled wc gearshift slop? I pulled the shifter and the pin doesn't look bad but the groove on the pivot ball is way wore.

Most of the time the required fix consists of three things, repairing the hole in the shift tower, usually by reaming it oversize if you can obtain an oversize pin or opening up the hole and inserting a bushing to bring it back to the original size, welding and re-machining the slot in the lever, and obtaining a new pin.
