I am needing the correct spelling for the old Belleville Il dealer A.G. Schmidt ot Schmitt? And what city dod Bob Heberer have his dealership.

                    Bob's dealership was in Mascoutah,Il. Just a guess but I would think your first  was correct ,I don't think two "tt's" is correct.

SCHMIDT is always the correct spelling but over time and with spelling mistakes in church records there are variations in spelling that have gone on for generations.
