I've seen some imppressive lists of AC equipment over the last couple days. It's got me thinking what do you collect and why? I could farm with just my 8050, 7060 and the 200 and loader and I wouldn't need any other tractor.

What I started collecting are the square four 201 & 226 gas tractors. I loved the WD45 & D17s as a kid, nothing sounds quite like an AC four cylinder on a hard pull. So I have an unstyled and styled WC, WD and WD45 an early Series I D17, Series II D17 and a Series IV D17. I'd like to eventually have an unstyled and styled WF, a bar grill D17 and a Series III D17 and 170's & 175 gas. Some people think I'm nuts. Once when the styled WC, WD and WD45 were side by side at a show I was asked why I have three of the same tractors. Then there's the Massey Harris 44 I have that's just like the one Dad had and my D19 diesel, and the parts WC, and I'd kinda like a UC for no reason other than I think they're cool.

Then there are the implements, for no good reason I wanted an Allcrop 72 and now I have one. I bought a nice 3pt AC blade even though I already had a heavy duty Kewanee 9' blade. Then I got a wild hair that all my antiques should have an appropriate plow, so now I have 8 (I think) plows... did I mention I'm a notill / conservation tillage farmer? I just got a snap coupler disc and I've been tempted to buy a roto baler more than once.

And I've had an IH H and M and an 8N Ford and an SC Case, they've come an gone, but you never no what else may just show up some day. Hey where did all my shed space go?

Claus, I love your playroom. By the end of winter, I want a ceiling railroad in my office. It will be American Flyer S guage. I have 5 depression cars to pull 12 8070's and 3 7045's in 1/64 scale. I might have to pull a 6th one with 2 combines.

Don't know why, but I have gotten into AC cuff links and tie clasps. I have pocket knives that belonged to my grandfathers.

I like anything AC but would love to find an Unstyled WC model set up like mine ( tricycle front end, rubber tires, rear spokes, and front dish wheels)

I started out with a 1946 MM UTU that my Dad bought from the original owner. (Still have today) Then I bought 2 more MM, then sold and got my First D 21. (Tigger restored) Then I bought more 21's and thought about collecting the D series. Well, I sold 2 of the D series to get a Hot Farm 21 from back east, so I sold and did some trading to get a 7050, then  with the extra cash from trading, bought the  7030. Found a 220, then sold another 21 to get a 210. Decided to stay with the big tractors and now have everthing except a 7080 which would be next, would like a maroon belly. The we would have all the big 100 hp tractors from the series 1 and 2  D 21 with the Industrail, 220s, 210, 7030 and 7050. I enjoy buying selling and trading and just keeps on going.

Good topic.

Take care, Darryl

My Granddad was an AC dealer, and I have a picture of him on a WD45 Diesel pulling a boy scout float in a parade in downtown Liberal, Missouri, so I collect the WD/WD45 series.  I have one of each of the models, all engine and front end configurations, plus more than 25 snap coupler implements for those models.  Plus I have some items from his dealership my Grandmother gave me, and two of the tractors came from his dealership.
The 14th Annual Exclusive AC Swap Meet will be held in Boonville, MO, March 7-8, 2025. See the club website for details: http://www.moacclub.com/

Why? Because my Grandad was an Allis dealer, early 70's Mopars look fast sitting still and I like beer.

In addition to my AC B and WD-45 Istarted collecting 1:64 scale tractors ao all brands just because I'm still a kid at heart. There are still quite a few 1:16 tractors at my parents from when I was a kid. Wife claims I also collect dust.

I collect A-C harvesting machines and implements and of course the tractors to run them. When I started I wanted to have a full mid 1950s lineup.  I think the only item that I wanted that I do not have yet is a snap coupler disc, but I'm in no hurry, too many projects already!  Of course I could not seem to stay in the 50s and ended up ranging a bit newer and older!  I quit counting at 50 pieces.

I like nice pieces of old literature from the 30s to 50s.   Eventually hope to recreate the tractors of my youth but I got a few ACs now I really enjoy even tho they are not on my 'bucket list'.
My ultimate collection of memories would be an AC WD, D17 and D14 series one, Cockshutt 40, Case 830 Comfort King, Deere 3020, Case SC, Farmall 400, Deere 60 or 620, maybe an Oliver 1850.

My dad and uncle ran an AC dealership in the 60's and early 70's, and I restored a tractor they sold to start out. Since then I have been an AC fan all the way. It has been great to do that with my dad. It is amazing that he still remembers settings without looking at a service manual. I have to always look at the manual to check, but he humors me.

Not only that my granddad did road construction, and he had AC pans and dozers. I remember crawling all over an HD-21 dozer as a kid. I can still see the old dozer in my mind. It is a great memory!

I got so tied up in the why I forgot about what I collect. I collect the D series tractors mostly, but now I have a 185 to restore. I would like to restore an old dozer, but it may be more than I can chew. I really like them all.

I don't have the funds to grab up all the things I would like to but one of these days I hope to see a D-21 in the shed here. I do have an assortment of Bowtie pickups in the yard and an assortment of 620/9020 sized things plus a lot of attachments. I have an old resurected D-17 Diesel that never seems to let me down. It's in it's work clothes and I don't do much with it but it's always ready when I call. I'm finishing up the body work on my D-15 and it should soon be looking as good as new. The rest of my collection includes some rather odd stuff. Several late 60's model AC tillers and push mowers, an engine driven 5500 watt gen. and a Twin-Twenty brand version of the 9020 sold by Montgomery Ward. Most of my stuff earns it's keep. But some I've saved just cause I like it.

Many years ago my grandmother's brother had an A-C dealership and I had an uncle on mom's side that farmed exclusively with A-C except for a JD 730 diesel. He always said A-C built the best gas, but if you want a diesel you want a JD. Spent alot of summers on the farm. In the early 80's my uncle passed and my aunt sold the farm. I wanted to buy one of his tractors at the sale, but mom and dad said no way.
I think I can give credit to tractor collecting getting under way to the Great Iowa Tractor Ride. The first year for the ride was 97 and that prompted me to buy my CA.
To date, I have a 51 CA, #52 plow, #7 mower, pto driven rake, roto baler, 160 rotary mower, 20 series snap coupler disc, D17 diesel. Plus one Oliver 60 that was bought new by grandpa on dad's side.
