I saw this G yesterday, "rare hydraulics". After looking at the pictures I sent a message to the seller saying this was not the "rare hydraulic" unit that Allis used on the G. His answer,
"IT HAS HYDRAULICS!!!THATS ALL THAT MATTERS!!!!" http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230559654000&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 |

It also has the 'rare' 1/2 painted oil filter, 1/4 painted dipstick too,and gas cap mold!!
$4000 for a nonrunning tractor,of any kind is way too much, especially with the 'custom' 10 minute spraybomb paintjob !

About 10 people ought to send him a note asking about the "rare" hydraulics. That would keep him busy!

The second g seems to be wider that the first one, or is it because of the wheel dishes turned out ?

Is he some kind of a dealer? If so, his english isn't very businesslike. If a person is putting hydraulics on it, why not run it off the engine so it's live. Nearly 6 days to go and only $500 bid so far, wonder what the reserve is.

Yes Eldon and John, and the longer wheelbase by extensions on the front axle; may be for some larger front cultivator or planter? Herb

The reserve is $4000 !!!!
For that money, you could have bought my 48,complete restore(including engine innards),new tires, brakes, bearings, paint, wiring, and a full dress of cultivators front and back, plus a skid of spares..AND got back $1500.....
sigh..miss that one,but the tax man had to have his(?) money.
still have a box of spare instrument panels and gauges though but a long way to piece together another G !

I was amused by the "rare hydraulics" when I saw this tractor posted on eBay as well. I do have to concede that it is "rare hydraulics" since I've never seen another G with hydraulics like that! Ha!
