Wife ordered a long sleeve shirt for me yesterday around 10 AM. Said it would come same day. It was at our front door before dark. Pretty crazy!

It all started with the “I want it and I want it now” mentality. It has led to the scaling down or closing of brick and mortar stores. A lot of things I can only find online or they’re less expensive online plus delivered to my house. But I won’t pay for same day delivery. And I still prefer face to face business dealings.

I'm with you Hubert. I prefer face to face, probably because of my gift of gab. But it's pretty impressive how quick things get here.

Around these parts, the drivers don’t stick around long enough to even get a tip. Your lucky if they even ring the doorbell to let you know the parcel is on the porch. Hi |

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

I can drive 20 miles each way to the auto parts store for common items such as spark plugs, and find them to be out of stock. "We can have them here tomorrow for you sir". Or get on Amazon, find the item(s) for the same price or less, and have it here tomorrow. This burns their fuel rather than mine, and there is some risk involved with getting on the highways today. That said, I regret the loss of personal interaction.

My daughter lives near madison WI. The Amazon fulfulment center near her delivers most things I order her within a day. If she orders without prime it takes a week or more.

Like most things I guess online shopping has pros and cons. Is pretty nice to get what I want same day though. Never saw driver, like said they don't hang around. Suits me. Should add I wore this shirt today while on my D 15 Thanks

We get most everything from online ordering. Most of Dixie's health care stuff comes the next day delivered by UPS or FedEx. A couple of items Walmart delivers at no charge if ordered early enough. Those will be things that cost over 50 bucks at a time. Several items are on a deal where they come automatically on a preset day. Most of our groceries are ordered online and my daughter picks them up most of the time. Once in a while I drive in and pick them up. You can look at pictures of each item and read the content.
It has all been a big help to us. I get my shirts from red cap and my bibs from Round House my underwear never seems to ware out and some of it is over 30 years old. (:^D Years ago I got underwear for Christmas whether I needed more or not. (I understand this was needed to know information) {:^D
