WD45 Question

   Been installing an alternator on my latest WD45 with power steering and noticed the number 268744 stamped on the top of the left frame rail along where the motor bolts to the bell housing,never noticed any numbers there on any other WD45 tractors.Wonder what that was for? Serial number is 236210.
