Just wondering if these should be 1/2 inch long, thread length? Pair I have are 3/4 long and hit the side of the radiator without using washers. My original ones are long gone. Thanks

If they’re too long, you could put a nut on all the way and then cut them shorter, if you can’t find shorter ones.

That's a good idea. I have a 3/8 16 die. Would that be better than a nut? Thanks!

Sometimes ya feel like a nut and sometimes ya don't. I've found that a good rule to live by when dealing with threads, ya, ya, ya, yeah.
