Allis Chalmers Equipment Featured at
Central Washington Agricultural Museum's Contact: Union Gap, WA - July 29, 2024 - The Central Washington
Agricultural Museum is proud to announce that Allis Chalmers Equipment will be
the featured brand at this year's 43rd Pioneer Power Show. The event, known for
celebrating the rich agricultural heritage of Central Washington, will take
place on Saturday and Sunday, August 17th & 18th, from 9 am to 4 pm at the
museum grounds in Union Gap. The featured tractor is a fully restored 1952 Allis Chalmers
G, which has a two-row corn planter (without the hoppers) mounted. The Allis
Chalmers G was designed for small farms and gardens and featured a full line of
custom implements that mounted under the belly. Additional Allis Chalmers
equipment on display includes a 1947 Allis Chalmers B tractor, a 1950 Allis
Chalmers WD tractor with a loader attached, and a 1937 Allis Chalmers crawler.
You’ll also find a 1949 Allis Chalmers road grader, which is used by the museum
to plow snow during the winter months. Although the road grader is technically
not farm equipment, it is part of the Allis Chalmers heritage. The model D road
graders were first manufactured in 1949, and the serial number on the museum’s
grader, D-49, indicates it was one of the first of these. Overall, the Central
Washington Ag Museum has over 20 Allis Chalmers items on site, including a
combine, baler, mower, plow, drill press, and pump. "The Pioneer Power Show is a beloved tradition in our
community, and we are thrilled to feature Allis Chalmers Equipment this
year," said Wally Moen, President of the Central Washington Agricultural
Museum. "This exhibit not only honors the legacy of Allis Chalmers but
also provides an educational experience for visitors of all ages." In addition to the Allis Chalmers showcase, the Pioneer
Power Show will feature a variety of activities for the whole family, including
equipment parades, tractor pulls, homemade ice cream, kids’ rides and scavenger
hunt with great prizes, and a display by the Pacific Northwest Vintage
Snowmobile Club. Attendees will also have the chance to explore the museum's
extensive collection of exhibits and demonstrations, including blacksmithing,
the vintage apple packing line, horse and buggies, the sawmill, and much more. The Central Washington Agricultural Museum's 43rd Pioneer
Power Show is a must-attend event for history enthusiasts, equipment
aficionados, and anyone interested in the agricultural roots of the region. The
event is open to the public, with admission priced at $5 per person and free
for children under 12. For more information, please visit www.centralwashingtonagmuseum.org
