Come on -- don't be so harsh.

The story of the Gleaner Super Series coming into existence is a positive one in many ways and Kevin Bien has a lot of enthusiasm for the story.

The RFD-TV studios are gearing up now for Kevin's 2nd 2010 RFD-TV LIVE appearance. The show includes a call-in segment if you have questions about the new S7 Series combines.  The call-in # is 877-731-6733.

Trust me, Kevin Bien and company are the best of the best that still exist at AGCO. This is the A team. If you want to hear lies, listen to the following:

The Gleaner team is still dedicated to what most of us on this forum believe in. This combine is fabulous, unlike the MF and some of the other questionable products that the executive branch wants to force on NA customers (that ironically don't sell).

AGCO must think North American farmers are the same as those in the U.K. I picked up a few different tractor magazines that are from the U.K. at TSC the other day and they make MF out to be the best thing since sliced bread. MF and Ford over there are what J.D. and IH are here in popularity. I guess I just don't get it...

No Brian. You, I, and the rest of the people here in N. America get it. Market what sells where it sells. Unfortunately, the execs at AGCO are the ones who don't get it.

Massey and Ford have been big sellers in the UK for 60 plus years.  JD didn't really get a foothold until the '60's or later.  The same thing is happening (or has happened) in the UK  as in NA, the farms are getting bigger and so is the machinery.  When I was in the Army in Germany and Greece 40 years ago, I never saw a JD or MF in Germany, but a few in Greece.  I suspect Fendt is still the biggest AGCO brand in Germany, MF may be in the UK.  Personally, I think AGCO would be wise to paint Fendts Orange and sell them in NA as a premium tractor, just a thought.
