beaming screw screwed

   Hello. Ok, guess I'm lucky that the beaming screw for my 3 bottom plow 'fell apart' AFTER doing my field,but need some help in it's repair.
I think it's a model 70,at least most of the parts look like the diagream on page 24 of the manual.
My question is... should the beaming screw anchor(threaded tubular piece with upside down U piece bolted to frame ) be fixed or allowed to swivel where the tube meets the U piece? After 50 years and a 'fix' or two I can't see what it should be.Currently there's a nut welded on the end as the tubing is stripped.
I think it should swivel but it's 'rusty rock solid'! I need to get a 1" fine nut to weld onto the tube tomorrow....
..or I could modify a toplink to do the job(but coarse thread)

Looks like another job to put on the list !

	Turns out the nut that comes with a 2"ball for a 2" receiver is 1" fine thread! Cleaned out what was left of the stripped thread inside the beaming screw anchor and welded the nut on.Should be good for another 40 years.If I get real bored, I'll grind down the nut and weld to make it look 'more original', in the meantime, it has some work to do !

	Unless you shortened the threaded tube the thickness of the nut you used, you may not be able to get the plow to go deep enough. All mine end up threaded almost all the way in to get to the proper depth, remember on these, shorter is deeper.
	Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives.
