Well the engine is runnung fine(more on a seperate post)but the oil is going fast into the rear case and out of the transmission .According to the manual there are 2 areas to look at.
Pump is out and I have ordered the seal that is recommended to change but the seal that is there LOOKS not too bad.It will get replaced.
The book also recommends pulling the range shift cover and sealing up the core plug.I have gone through that manual and can't find a location for the Range Shift Cover. Is the cover(aluminum)on the right side with all the levers and valves under the batteries the right one?If I remove it are there any special precautions ? It looks like it might be a nightmare if not done properly.
I really appreciate all the advice given on here.Hopefully my "Big Al" will run again.

Going fast, as in how fast ?? Last time I heard about something like this, the oil cooler/radiator area had been worked on and two hoses got reconnected wrong.

The aluminum cover is the power shift valve body. The range cover is further back behind the small fuel tank. I don't think that is your problem.
