Looking for ideas on building a 5.5mph tractor. I've got a D17 series 1 to build. No rules on engine just speed and tire size. Wanting to run 5500 and 6500 lb classes tire size is 15.5 top cuts. My biggest competition is ford 5000's with turbo. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks

..... if you want a trophy you will need an engine other than a D17.  Ford is Probably a 7000 CI wise and those can go up to WAY over 100 hp easily...
When told "it's not the money,it's the principle", remember, it's always the money..
