I plan to leave the current bail in place for rapid reconfiguration and will add a new bail further back. The 3pt will attach to the new bail which will attach to the drawbar and to the cultivator brackets just inboard of the wheels. I will likely add additional cross bracing for improved side to side stability and strength. Without cross bracing I think that would be fine for light duty drawbar work, but don't want to take chances. Although the cultivator brackets are replaceable/fixable, they don't appear to be designed for side to side strength. Any other concerns? Yes i know about the cross manufacturing light duty snap coupler 3pt with a pin hitch option. I don't like the design (snap or pin-hitch) and am designing my own.

The pin hitch drawbar connects to the lift arms. In order to free up the lift arms, the drawbar has to be disconnected from the lift arms and supported elsewhere. I'll leave that section floating with possible additional cross braces to be decided on, but a new bail located further back will attach to the cultivator brackets. I've considered sliding the existing bail back (towards the front of the tractor), but I think I need more cross bracing towards the pulling end of the drawbar, potentially for side to side strength. Also, the sway braces on the existing bail would have to be modified or pinned up to keep from dragging the ground since moving the existing bail means they wouldn't attach normally anymore.
