Front pump or rear side mounted pump? Brakes are a pain. Check wear on front end because of loader. Check tranny also for gear jumpout.See if loader has been repaired at uprights if it is an AC loader. If sound tractor, that a real deal on the price. HTH Tracy Martin

All that Tracy said. Check the front end pivot under the middle of the axle for wear. Sometimes a new bushing will fix? Any charging electricity routes thru the voltmeter in the dash. You'll be jumping a dead battery until finding it. Check the engine exhaust manifold gaskets for leaking. $5000 would be a great price if the loader is a AC 500 fully hydraulic type. The 170s hyd controls to the right of the seat are very handy with that loader. |

Make sure it will not jump out of any gears while driving it. Make sure the amp meter shows a positive charge. Make sure all the hydraulics on the loader work smooth and that the 3-point arms raise and lower as they should. I think $5000 is a steal for a 170 with a loader. Buy it!
