Good morning all,
I have a customer requesting the replacement of the day tank which feeds his generator on a high rise in downtown San Francisco. Unfortunately he is having trouble providing the literature for the AC Generator. I was able to grab the data plate information of the unit which is a Model# 6136T or possibly 6133T. (Unfortunately the data plate is a bit corroded) The serial # is 14 04164. We are trying to determine the fuel burn ratio so we are able to properly size up his daytank. Thank you for any assistance you are able to provide!

engine would be 6138T. 844 cubic inch. nebreska tractor test lab tested an earlier model of this basically same engine known as the 21000. the 6138 would make more power but would also be more efficient depending on the settings. at rated load the 21000 used 13.974 gal per hour. so make 15 gal an hour is a good assumption?
here is a link to the test results paper. finding results for this particular application could be difficult, but probably out there somewhere.

A good rule of thumb is 10 gallons per hr gets you 200 HP.....20 gallons burned per hr gets you 400 HP. Whatever KW your gen is should calculate to max HP required.
