I use to have as many as 3 cramps at a time. Definitely not fun. Doctor suggested 125 mg. magnesium daily. Haven't had a cramp in ages. G |

ah the teeter-totter 'chemistry' of the human body. We NEED a balance of water and electrolytes(salts). A certain amount of each, too little of one, too much of the other and wham, bam,it's CRAMP time.... What works for me is to increase real water ( coffee is 'antiwater'..... ) AND a glass of tomato juice with orange juice. some lemon juice and a few shakes of salt. OK, th e'mix' doesn't taste great, and you could drink them separately, but heck it's a LOT better than ACV !!! Everyone's different BUT the same basic 'teeter-totter' rule applies, you just have to figure out how much of this or that you need BTW, everyone should take 1000 IU ( 1 pill ) of vitamin D from now until the Spring Sun reappears. It'll ward away althlete's feet and other bad skin problems..

My own issue was a potassium deficiency where I eat at least a full banana a day a multi vitamin, extra dose of two D3 caplets and all is good.

Try dill pickle juice. Drink a couple shots every day. Lots of athletes use it and it helps me when I’m having cramps. Good luck.

+1 Potassium for cramps. +1 Magnesium for nerve irritations. Potassium is necessary for your body to bind and transport electrolytes, and to clear out lactic acid from muscles. Magnesium is necessary in order for your body to rebuild the sclera (sheathing) over nerves. Sclera is the equivalent of insulation on a wire- it protects the nerve from stretching and abrasion, and protects it from being irritated by contact with body materials that it's not SUPPOSED to be in contact with. |

Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.

thanks for info. magnesium worked but then my stomach decided it wanted to protest. this problem is much deeper the pickle juice or banana's but ty for your info. i got out my bottle of D3 or should it be just D2? quite a difference between the 2! looks like D2 might be more of what i need but in moderation! I know diet pop brings them on. I figured out the leg cramps, accidently, but that works.

potassium pill is what i use now and they work BUT i have to watch my potassium level in my body. it got so high a couple years ago; it about killed me. Now last night i took my pee pill a little earlier with potassium and then drank some milk before bed and no cramps or going to the "head" overnite!

you pickle juice guys are lucky; that quite working on me 50yrs ago! then i was told i wasn't drinking enuff. so i got a 5gal bucket full. that was a waste of time and effort! buy the way; 5 gals is easy to find. any restaurant that sells hamburgers buys there pickles by the 5gals. just have them save a couple of buckets of juice after the pickles are gone!

While talking to a retired Doctor and asked about cramps. He says the medical people don't know what causes cramps and therefore can't tell you what to take to prevent them. Drink water is the best they recommend. We agreed that all the "fixes" were either old wives tales or salesmen nonsense.

aren't the dill pickles packed in water? I know olives are, then the flavors from them flavor the water.

try taking some liquid calcium-magnesium and if really bad, use a wet cold towel on the leg cramps...
