the plastic lids are no longer available, I bought one about 15 years ago, was tough getting them then, and cost was about $78. each. they broke on the 1st time of use. I guess sitting on the shelf somewhere, they shrink and split open when you go to snap them ona a box. if you have seed in them and want them covered like over night, shimmy a plastic trash sack over them. I have replased most all my plastic boxes with the square fiberglass boxes, they will bolt on the lower part with same holes as the plastic boxes, just be real careful grinding off the rivits. 1/4 in bolts replace the rivits when changing boxes.

off the planters that are on sales, the old air champs had the square boxes. I bought 2 old air champs just for the boxes, and there's a few other things on them that interchange with other planters. you can get a few more years outta the old plastic boxes if you wrap them with duct tape if they crack. best thing to do is take the boxes in out of the weather after planting.
