I am the 2nd owner of this tractor. Charlie Kopta of Sandy Lake bought it at Sandy Lake Implement in the late 60s and traded it in on a new one in 1979. I was a mechanic at SLI at the time and snatched it up. I since became co-owner and service manager at SLI but have retired. I have owned this beauty for about 45 years and have decided it is time for someone else to treasure it. The paint is original except for a few minor spots that Mr. Kopta had touched up and will clean up nicely with some rubbing compound as will the chrome. Also original are the decals, seat, lights, tires and muffler. The hood bolts are correct but it needs a speed nut on the left rear corner (wing bolt is with tractor). The throttle lock works as it should as does the charging system. It even has the elusive steering wheel cap and the original steering wheel is excellent. The hyd lift and hydro work flawlessly, I bushed the hydro pump housing and replaced the axle tube and seals approximately 50 hours ago. The engine is perfect as is the gas tank. It has only had ethanol free fuel run in it. She starts, runs and drives as good as ever. The rear wheels will soon need replaced due to decades of calcium chloride in the rear tires. There is no battery with it. I can send a brief video of it starting and throttling up. I rolled my large lawn twice this spring. The $1600 price includes all attachments pictured except the roller. Comes with tiller & complete drive, the original 48” mower deck and a 48” simplicity deck that I bought as a backup but never used. The original deck has some holes and cracks in the shell. The bearings are ok in both decks. I will sell the attachments separately- tiller with complete drive $300, Simplicity deck $275, original deck if not sold with tractor $175. The tiller drive pulley and u bracket are still on the tractor but go with the tiller and will be removed if tiller is not bought with the tractor. I am less than 15 miles from Bill Anthony’s AC collection auction Friday July 29 near Mercer Pa. and could deliver it there for free if you or a friend are going to it. This is your chance to own a great ORIGINAL machine. Thank you for reading - Bill, formerly from Sandy Lake Implement Company. Sorry, can’t seem to load pics. Contact me and I will e mail them.
