I have a 1946 HD7 that appears to be in almost running order.  I am cleaning/oiling/greasing everything.  I need the part #'s for the Primary and Secondary Fuel filter and the Oil Filter.  I think the oil filter is a Purolator P-36, but not 100% sure.  Also need some parts/part numbers - like the Air Intake Manifold cover and the Starter contact switch (manual, mounted on the starter - the manual calls it the cranking motor switch).  Part numbers for the filters would be great and a source for the used parts would be great also.

The entire electrical system is gone, but other than the battery to start the motor, I don't see where there is any technical need for electrical (lights are gone, Amp meter is dead, etc). There is not a pre-heater on this.  Is there any real need for electrical anywhere else?

Hopefully Steve NJ can help you with the switch, he sells electrical parts on here. May help to put this question on the farm equipment side.

For the filters look at web site of filter manufactures under Detroit Diesel for the 3=71 engine. If the size are about right by guess, you may have to just take your chances.
If they look way wrong, could be someone changed filter housing in the last 70 years.

Be carefull with the fuel filters, if yours has the one under the seat on the righthand side it should be an element, the wrong one will fit in there, the one on the engine(secondary) is a bit easier. I put a thread on here years ago explaining what not to do and the correct fuel filter numbers but I can't seem to find it.
