Quites. What was the piece of machinery that was sold off that brought a tear to the eye as it rolled down the driveway ?

I guess I've been lucky (or stupid?) but I've never sold anything. Only acquired more.

The only vehicle I regret getting rid of was a 760 Volvo diesel. 4 door, climate control, cloth interior, kick ass sound system, great mpg.

Tears of JOY when the MF (appropriately initialed) 165 went in for repairs and stayed there!
Tears of joy and FEAR when the Ford 6000 with POS, er sorry, SOS transmission left the yard and the dumbass towing me just about rolled me into the ditch. We haven't gotten rid of much. Of course, we haven't Quite yet.

Years ago, when I worked at Heathercrest Farms just west of Madison WI., the old timers there damn nearly broke and sobbed when the ‘ol Farmall 560 was finally traded in. You would have thought somebody in the family died.

A 97 Silverado regular cab I'd had since I was 17. I was 31 when I traded it. Cora was on the way and 4 people can't ride in a regular cab truck. Thought me and Danielle were both going to squall

I wasn't sad but glad when the 560 Diesel and later the 1086 left. Those were the Tractors from Hell along with the Bobcat 610! One that I was sad to see go but glad for the replacement was my Grandfather's D17 and was replaced with the 170.

My 69 W300 Dodge I had to upgrade to a 73 cab as no parts.
Spent as much time on it as did old Fat Allis and felt about the same when it left as FA. Ah the joys of Orphan machines. |

My original "Welding Wagon"; a 1964 GMC 3/4 ton pickup w/305E GMC six cylinder engine. Fine piece of machinery it was but just wasn't heavy enough for my needs. That and my Hobart Bros. G-213 TJD Wisconsin powered welder which also was not large enough.

Tears of joy when the last piece of JD crap left the farm. When all the bearings on the 750 drill started coming from China you had change one after every field. It was time to send it down the road.

In my early 20’s I put a 66 Ford body on a 76 F150 4x4 body. I loved that truck. I wanted a one ton to pull a trailer so I traded it.
I really want to build another. On a later 4x4 3/4ton . |

I sorta miss my C I bought th it in 1986 and gave it away in 2019. I really had no use for it and giving it to my niece's husband freed up room in my tractor shed. Still have an extra 190 that has to park outside
