Today was the first day I haven't my 190XT since I bought it! Of course you have to ask today.
Yesterday was hauling hay.. Friday is hauling firewood. Other than that, just cleaning up some piles around the land in between jobs. |

The PTO cable and starter went out on the 7060. So after a great deal of effort the blower got moved to the 200 to clear the drive

Just going out to hook up tote and move some wood. An excuse to get outside and enjoy the sunny but cool weather.
Nice 175 and loader. 😀 Edited by Ed (Ont) - 11 Feb 2021 at 11:50am |

Didn’t get to use it much, but did work on the CA, finally got my rebuilt hand clutch and new brakes installed, along with replacing the differential carrier and ring gear replaced. It all started of as just needing a hand clutch and new seals but the further I got. I saw the brakes were shot. Then one of the differential bearings was super bad. Then discovered the whole differential carrier was bad.
But excited now that it is back in working condition. Missed that little CA, a super handy little tractor for sure. |

I did start the WD45 and move it into the office. Pretty tough life these old retired orange tractors have around here!
Just as persnickety to start out in the cold, as I remember 60 years ago! Regards, Chris

Lacking a blade to properly move any snow, but the B did have to start the day by pulling the truck through the driveway so I could get to work, and then just mashing down some tracks to get through the drifts. Notice the factory feed bag seat cover and flannel radiator shutters. Edited by Luke114 - 14 Feb 2021 at 9:59am |

There's a Rube Goldberg device that pulls a knee joint between the plow frame and the tractor's bell housing to lift. You can only see part of it in the image. Powered by the factory hydraulics. Ben

I did free snow clearin on 16 driveways yesterday and 3 more today
around the neighborhood for several of our friends on my trusty old 1956
Allis WD-45. Story about my Allis WD-45. It
was 16 degrees below zero (-16 F) during the early hours of 2/16 here
is SW MO and during the last few days we had around 6"-9" of snow and my old Allis sets out in the elements, but yesterday she fired up
without me even chargin the battery. We live in the town of Carthage,
but on a corner where I was able to design and build every stick of my
dream shed some 30+ years ago. Among too much stuff, I collect old wood
and metalworkin machinery and bein an old timer I figured it was about
time to do some of my liftin chores smarter than dumber and not havin
some part of my carcass out of wack.....sooos I traded a farmer friend
of mine out of one of his 5 tractors as he had retired. I hadn't kept
track of his machinery over the years and I about fell over when he told
me what tractor he had that he would part with........ a 1956 Allis
WD-45 w/wide front-end. Well I'm 72 now and goin back to when I was a kid...I grew up in a small town in SW MO and worked
for a farmer friend of the family. He had 4 AC
tractors......a C, 2 WD-45s (1 gas / 1 propane), and a D-17. I mainly
worked ground with the WD-45s, but he also had a rather large prairie
field where I worked all of them as we took right at 5,000 bales of
prairie hay off of them a summer....... but of all his tractors the
WD-45s were my favorite ........ Back to my friend who just retired
........when I found out I had a chance to get a WD-45 w/wide frontend I
was like a kid with a new shotgun...........sooos here are a few pics
of my trusty old 1956 WD-45. She surely is no beauty queen, but has had a major overhaul about 100 hours ago, and fairly solid otherwise. Here are a few pictures as she sets with old Kelley frontend loader w/trip bucket and a 6' blade. I took them this afternoon and some of the snow is already meltin. I enjoyed your story. Growing up we had all several models of AC’s. We had wd-45’s, D17’s, a d19, and various bigger 100 series. I always enjoyed the wd-45’s maybe the most even though they were a little small for most field work and had the worst ergonomic’s apparently from what others tell me.

Moved snow with the 720 yesterday, AGAIN! Supposed to get another three inches today. No rest! Stupid white stuff is piled so deep now I can't do a thing. Glad I didn't have my heart set on going to the swap-meet!
