I just bought a Thompson/d17 cane picker and hopefully get it home this weekend. Has been sitting along time is diesel and has 15.5/38 on rear. Someone broke the spindle at the bottom so going to cut off the rest and put in a wd45 spindle to get it on the trailer. Anyone know anything about these or have one. What they worth and how rare.

The back ground does not look like sugar cane country, so what kind of cane ? I guess it has been repurposed already. Looks to be a interesting piece.
