Hello all,

So I have a old 5030 that my dad bought back in the day ended up getting replaced by a new tractor so it sat for many years.  I decided I was going to get it running which I did.    The issue I am having is I cannot get it to run over 1500 rpm.    It runs perfect up to that speed but a little over and it shuts off.

I know these tractors have very limited parts at this point but I am wondering what I should look at first to try to see if I can fix it.

I completely removed the fuel tank and hoses and cleaned everything when I was getting in back in running condition but I am leaning toward fuel flow but other than replacing the injector pump (I did not removed or take apart) which I am not sure you can even get at this point not sure what else I can look at.

Thanks for the any help,

Eddie

5030 parts may be difficult to find, but injection pumps and their components shouldn’t be.
