I am going to mount an Allis Chalmers model 73 snap coupler plow on my D17 Series IV tractor. The plow has 3 - 16" bottoms. How do I calculate how wide to set the tires?

So, while you have your book out, what is it for a 4 x 14's or 4 x 16's 70 series plow on a D-17 ??

all the way out. Well, that was what we had set our 17 diesel when pulling the 4-14 semi-mounted plow.

The book I have is specific to the three bottom plow. Looked around
here and can't find one for a four bottom. My guess is that the
measurement would increase by 8 inches, so 35" from c/l to inside of
tire would be a good starting point.Maybe someone that has a manual will chime in? Not sure what the measurement would be for all the way out but JC could be right that is the setting.

I remember 4-16's behind the 45 required all the way out. Only needed 1 set of stops...

All the way out is what it looks like in pictures in advertising literature. Just wanted to confirm. Thanks.
