Correction, grandson put up the Christmas tree tonight. Old gal bought this thing in 1975 or 76 when she worked at TG&Y store. This kids dad use to help me put this thing up when he was in kindergarten. I bought some new bubble lights for it at Menards last week. They sure arn't like the ones on my Grandmas tree clear back in the 1950's. I bought some about 10 years ago but I can't find the darn things.

Ditto on the bubble lights. Found some good one's at Bronner's at Frankenmuth, MI maybe 8 years ago. Used once I think and don't put up a tree any longer so gave to some dancing friends a couple years ago. Supposed to invite us over to see them in action but I guess that will never happen.

I miss seeing hoards of the old bulbs lit up, but they're $$$ and $$$ to light all night. Kids used to sneak around in our neighborhood and kype these bulbs off of bushes, trees, etc. Then smash them in the streets some where else. It must of been the adrenaline of sneaking up, unscrewing, and sneaking off with the bulbs in the night cold that excited them I guess.

Shameless its only a 6'ter. Darn cat try'd to take it down for us tonight. I did find my older string of bubble lights tonight. They are twice the size of the new ones. I'm gonna put them up tomorrow, after church and after i feed the bees again. Its been at least 37 years since TG&Y closed up here. Pamida bought them out.
