I'm going to look at a D10 series 11 tomorrow. The owner told me it has a live lift and independant power take off. It has front cultivator frames but no rear or any shanks, and he said it has 2 lift levers, one for the front and one for the 3PH. I wasn't aware of a D10 series 11 having live power or live hydraulics. does anyone know before I go look at this?

I'm no D-10/12 expert, but only the oldest models had a hydraulic pump similar to an old "CA" and no live PTO. Everything series 2 and 3, if they had a PTO, it was live as were the hydraulics.

I have a parts D10 series II with LPTO and the hydraulic pump on the rear, also have a parts D10 with the hydraulic pump on the right side of the motor and the tank up on the engine which gives it live hydraulics and no PTO.Several different configurations were available apparently.

The previous answers are correct, but a little more information.
Series I with CA style pump, no live PTO or live lift. Tractor booster, same a CA was available. Tractor could be ordered with a delete plate and no PTO or a PTO without flat belt pulley (no pulley shaft) or with flat belt pulley. Hitch was snap coupler. Other option had pump mounted on side of engine to provide live lift, but still no live PTO. Series II Live lift and live PTO. Hitch could be snap coupler or three point. Series III Live lift and live PTO. Three point hitch only. Hi/lo transmission was an option.

Thanks for the info. I had a D10 years ago , it had the same pump and lift as a CA, so when this guy said it had live lift and PTO it made me question it
