Looking at other "B's" and the It manual I believe I am missing an oil tube which should run from the governor housing to the Distributor housing. (1949B). Anyone know if this is the case? If so, where on the dist housing does the line attach? Thanks!!!

in 1953, they put the Tee fitting on the oil line to the governor. I do not have a B that new, so I am at a loss to tell you where it hooks up. Before 1953, the oil line only went straight into the governor.

Bee, on my '48 B the oil line runs from a fitting at the back of the block near the oil filter directly to the governor housing as in the front part of your B. Where does that line go on your B?

My line runs from the oil pump to the governor. There is also a hole from the governor section to the distributor section. From what I have read this hole is described as a "drain" hole which led me to believe I should have a feed line off a tee as Glen described. Must be the design was changed after my 1949 was built.

My 48'B had the oil line coming off the Tee block in the cylinder head, down the side of the valve cover to where the Govenor bellcrank pivots for the throttle linkage. I offer a new kit for that oil line if interested with the fittings.......
