   Hello, I need a little help here. I have 2 1951 WD's one I use regulary and one with a gleaner combine engine in it. I think it is a 226 same as a d17. I had a close call mowing the back pasture and the wife seen it and she has made the decision they need to go before my boys aren't as lucky as I was. The wd I use regularly has maybe 250 hrs on a complete overall. I went all out when I built it new valves, over bore kit, new radiator, and several dollars worth of parts. It has the tall head on it and the carb was given to me by a friend who pulled ac's. I know if I get in tall grass mowing it will frost over. Was a nf and is now a wf, it has a loader on it with new packing, snap coupler, and a complete char-lyn ps system but I don't have it installed yet. I have a 3pt adapter that goes into snap-coupler, and a five foot bush hog brand brush hog with new blades. The other tractor I pulled the engine with intent of building a pulling tractor but I did not make it before she made her decision. Both tractors are soild and I have more spare parts from hyd pumps to gas tanks but don't have the space to list them all. But I want to sell everything together. I am looking to sell these and get a little newer tractor but I can't give them away and I won't part them out or sell the pieces seperate. 	Darren, Sorry about your predicament. If you dont mind my asking what was your close call? Are you looking newer as in bigger wider or are you thinking compact tractor? I flopped a 4X4 kubota on ground that I regularly covered with a narrow front JD.

	I have a hill side that is not real steep but I as I was mowing I got my foot caught between the brake pedals somehow and could not get it out then started sliding and had to drop my loader bucket to stop. I felt stupid trying to get my foot out but I was glad it stopped before going into the creek. I told her it was my fault but she is afraid that the boys might not think to drop the bucket or worse. She said I had to get something a little safer. I would like a mid-size 4x4 but can't afford it so I am looking at something like a 135 massey or a 1010 deere size and weight it down. I hate to get rid of the wd's but don't have the room to keep them and something else.

	i would just build a rops for the one i have first.....get with your local fab shop.... i will be adding one to my c allis before its all done... i have rolled two tractors before both time close calls... first time i hooked too far up for pulling a tree out of my creek, same issue my shoe laces caught in the pedals and i was laying on my back watching the tractor digging my grave, luckily my neighbor saved my life by shutting it down in time. second time was loading mulch with my kubota it had a rops but i hit a hole while turning and it flipped over before i could react.....build a rops and add calcium to tires and ask your self do i really need to mow the hillside?
	If i can't fix it i won't.

	Build the rops if shes worried. And tell the love of your life to not be a nag. I love the hand clutches on those tractors where I need to inch along and run the pto. Try doing that with any other tractor that doesn't have an oil clutch.
