I just finished putting the 52 WD back together. About a year ago I had it running, but only for a little while and then I pushed it to the side to work on other projects. Now it spins fine, but I can not get it to fire. It has a magneto ignition. Could the mag have went bad just from sitting one year. It also developed a leak in the front seal on water pump. Any ideas on what to try next? Will anyone be at Dales show that can inspect mags.
Thanks
Adam

As far as the no fire and your thinking the mag, the best thing I can tell you is to check for spark at a plug then if none it could be the mag. The water pump seal... might want to get it running and get it warm and see if the leak stops, might be leaking due to it has sat and the seal is dry. good luck

Adam, When you get to Dales look up Steve He will have a display set up there, or find Richard he is good on mags too.

open the cap and check the points. they could have corroded from sitting. clean them with a little emory paper or just put a new set in.
