What do you guys recommend for a good but reasonably priced scan tool. I need to upgrade my actron code reader. It's been faithful but it's time to get something that can give me miss fire data, injector balance test, and other special functions.

I've been following a couple guys on YouTube watching their channels. The one guy is using autel. Another guy is using a Bosch tool that he can use also to reprogram the computer for new fuel pump drivers, flash a new computer, etc. That looks kind of spendy.

With that being said what do you guys have or suggest. Snap on I think at this point will be over my budget. Unless I go with something older.

You might  ask the guys at your local shop what they use. Heck I don't even do my own oil changes anymore. I bought a 'cheap' scanner from www.banggood.com and it's OK. Reports the bad sensors and can reset the puter. If I was really into it, I'd just grab the free PC OBD-II program and an interface cable which I bought 15-20 years ago and collecting dust in the closet. Now they've got wireless(BT) scanner 'heads' for $10....sigh

I am one of the only local shops left in town. We have a Ford but they charge a lot and are not friendly from what I've be told.

The main shop.that use to do a lot of the drivability closed so I can see a bigger need now for a better tool.
