The manual arrived today, and it has already been helpful! Here's the story:
After getting my fencerow subsoiler freed up, I hooked it to my D14 and was surprised to find that it would only go about halfway in the ground, which at ~12-14" deep still wasn't too shabby, but I thought it should be capable of running deeper. Sure enough, according to the manual my subsoiler was assembled wrong at some point in its life. I will move the crossbar (and beaming screw mount) to the forward set of holes tomorrow, and I'm willing to bet that the ol '14 will have its work cut out for it then! Just goes to show that a manual is a handy thing to have, even for the simplest of tools.(Another handy thing to have is this forum, and the members who are willing to share what they have.
