Just a guess, but did the 7700 with 404 ci have approx. 120 HP at 2200 RPM ? I would think that would be about the max with 100 less cubes and 800 more revs.. Now as for pulling the key would be how much torque at WOT is produced naturally aspirated...... from 90hp at 2200 to 120 at 3000 --- what is that 25+% tuff to do... be interesting to see if anyone who did increase the hp NA and actually dyno'd the increase...

If you're even remotely serious in doing this, change out the gas pistons for used diesel pistons that have had some material removed from the top of them. This would raise the compression up to the 12 to 1 range if done correctly. Eventually the gas pistons may fail anyway.....they did that in a farm tractor all the time.

I have a set of used diesel xt pistons in a box from an overhaul a few years ago. If you are interested I would give them away you just cover the shipping. got sleeves too if anyone is doing slightly over bore stuff, I have not idea if anyone is doing that to go up in cubes or just stroking.
