Can anyone verify if AGCO paints are exact matches to the original colors? I have used PO2 and it matched my Series IV original paint perfectly. But the PO1 looks too peach colored compared to what others have posted on here. I have only used the rattle cans, maybe the quarts dry a different shade?

I agree, the PO1 is too peachy. Actually, from what I've sprayed from a quart can, it seems to be a bit too "pink" I guess is the word (Shameless, you been messing with Agco's paint??)
At Hutch last year I saw a few restored early D14's. Most all were different shades of orange, but one looked really wacky. If you just looked at that tractor alone, it looked alright, but right beside the others the difference was obvious. The one that stood out was painted with Agco paint, and several others also noticed it looked a bit peachy. Maybe it was just the light we were in?? Often that has a lot to do with it. My G looks really nice PO1 in the barn, but in the sun it is sometimes more PO2 looking.

I have tried to match paint with some really nice PO1 from inside one of my All-Crops, but no place can match it because they say the orange "has too much yellow in it, and if we mix it, it will fade out when it dries"....what the heck??
I had Sherwin williams mix some, even though they said it couldn't be matched. They used their scanner on it, and the paint that was mixed up literally came out a weird burnt orange/brown color.

Yes, that peachy pink is what I'm seeing. I painted the wheels on my G with it and I'm not sure I like it. I saw a WD45 once that looked very similar, I'm guessing it was AGCO paint. Guy I know at the dealer says there's a big difference when you use the Valspar hardener. I'm planning to paint my B with their paint but I don't want to make a big mistake here.

If I were to paint something, I'd pursue another paint. I saw a few repainted tractors at Hutch I really adored, and I really wanted to know what paint was used, but tracking down owners was unsuccessful, unfortunately.

I'm thinking about using Rustoleum A-C orange equipment paint to paint a all crop,  anyone had experience with it?

I'm not sure if you are asking about the shade of orange or the quality of the paint. As far as rattle can go, I think Rustoleum is as good if not better than any brand you can buy, but it's still rattle can paint so that isn't saying much. Rustoleum also comes in quarts. I have a friend that used some to paint a metal woodbox. He mixed hardener with it and he said it's the most durable paint he's ever seen. He said he throws wood in that box everyday and it hasn't chipped or scuffed yet.

As for the color, I can't say. I haven't seen Rustoleum's AC orange, but if it matches other brand's version of AC orange (Krylon), I think it's a little darker than it needs to be. It might be correct for older models, but for later ACs (early 60s on) I think it needs to be a little brighter. I think his name on here is AC720man (or something like that), he has a pic of his 190 XT that he has posted several times. I believe his colors are just right. I don't think it would match AC orange in a can. The color he has that tractor is the color I want my D10 to be.

I don't know a lot about paint, but I've heard a lot of guys use that PPG paint. From the reviews I hear, it's pretty good stuff.

The paint color AC720 man used matches the old 60396 number that has been referred to as the Persian 2 number.

This is Rustoleum Farm & Implement Kubota Orange. The AC orange is even darker.

I thought the same thing as well. The Kubota orange looks more like the correct color than the AC orange to me.

we keep rattle cans for about every color of tractors and equipment to to touch up a repaired or replaced part.  i mostly buy the stuff from the dealers because the paint quality is much better and color match and when they do fade they dont fade to some wierd color they just blend in to the rest of the equipment better  .      but i have been using krylon farm and equipment # 1820 for persien orange 1, it seems real close to me as the ppg 60080 that we have mixed and put in arorsal cans .    the rustolum allis chalmers orange is a perfect match to the corperate orange that we have in the rattle can but it fades and looks like the tisco paint very fast

I'll have to look for that Krylon #1820...would be really nice to touch some things up without having to get out the gun, paint, thinner, hardener, etc.

I am by no means a paint specialist. But i can tell you what has worked for me. I have tried many brands of paint. PPG from AMAC sprays easier, covers better, is more forgiving, is the correct color and turns out beautiful in my opinion. Obviously, there are better painters out there that could have made my 190XT look even better, but i am ecstatic how it turned out with my inexperience. That’s what is important after all, as long as your happy with your project.

Danco mower, Cub Cadet yellow(safety yellow is what i was going for).
Dad’s B208, Napa mix paint from a sample under the tractor that had Seen no direct sunlight
.
720, Valspar. I keep it hidden away from the sun when I’m not using it as my dad’s series II has faded after 5 years using the same paint. His is stored in a shed but sees sunlight in the afternoon. But they do not have clear coat on them which would help.
