Thanks for the responses. It was about 15 minutes before a pop up storm that wasn’t in the forecast. I thought I looked cool too so I snapped a pic.
It is red clover. We had a good stand that year. 16 acres made right at 1800 bales. We bale with a NH 575 and 6080. It’s not there because it doesn’t sit out over night no matter the forecast. I don’t think I have a picture of them together. It’s an older 1069 so it has a 460 Ford. |

I do like that picture! Brings up a question, though. That tractor, which is a 185 I think, on the Vermeer twin rake; how do the hydraulics handle the rake. I am contemplating a Vermeer rake, and would plan on putting it behind my son's 185, providing that it could handle it. Thanks for posting the picture. darrel

Darrel, it's a 175 and it doesn't have any trouble with the rake at all. We had a R23 manual fold before this one that we pulled with a D17 IV. I was concerned about it at the time I was buying the rake but I want to say it requires 6 GPM to run and the D17 is 16 GPM. They assured me that it would handle it fine and it does. I can't imagine you would have any trouble with a 185. They are really nice rakes and cover a lot of ground. Before that we were using a 9' New Holland bar rake. What an improvement.
Mike, we have never baled with the 8050. The 6080 just plays with that baler. However we did get an 8010 last year and I plan on baling with it this summer.

Nice AC lineup! Great summer picture too. It's good for the soul to view the greens of summer, during snowy winter months. Thanks for sharing.
