I finally got this video project done. I started it early this spring Its by far the longest and most difficult video to date. 7hrs of preparation, 6hrs of video, 3hrs of editing & 21hrs of uploading. I tried to made it as short as possible, but it ended at 52 mins long and a file size of 5.7gb. It covers the disassembly and reassembly as well as setting the shims for the high and low sides. I will be adding a 2nd video of just the shimming so if that's all someone needs to see they don't need to watch or skip through the complete rebuild video.

I hope this video is of help to many.

Thanks & God Bless

Dennis,

What a great video!!!

If I may suggest, when measuring shims, I do like you do, and put the clutch pack on the trans input shaft, but when changing shims around, I go back to the bench and loosen all six of the bolts together, it keeps the shims from falling out, AND makes shim swapping significantly easier.  Just my thoughts, but none the less, makes it very clear what the procedure is, and helps those who might be apprehensive feel a little more comfortable with the work.  The hardest part of a power director rebuild really is getting the thing out of the tractor, and that really doesn't take that much either.
