'56 WD-45 with 82S mower.
Great machine. Since this picture was taken, the cut bar has been shortened to 5-1/2 ft for maneuverability around scrub apple trees and such. Hydraulics are "tweaked" so the bar lifts to full vertical from the seat.

I never thought to ask the prior owner and never figured it out myself but it is very "substantial" and makes a very good brush guard.
