I am rebuilding a 16HP Kohler K341 for my 716 Six Speed for stock altered pulling. I can go to .060 overbore. Any tips for rebuilding this puppy to get the most out of it? Better cam? Thanks for the advice!

Unsure of rebuilding that far over - but if you need a couple more engines I have 2 that I would sell -
I rebuilt 1 to 20 over with new crank - other was rebuilt stock bore but the balance gear broke and broke the dipper on the rod Ended up replacing the engines with a Honda V - 18 Hp in my New Holland S16 |

I'm imagining shaving about 1/8" off of the head to raise the compression, or adding to piston height would be better yet.
