ok so I got that WC I said about before to the shop....it was locked TIGHT....got it busted loose with some brake fluid, ATF, 2 pipe wrenches, a floor jack, and some grunting....new oil(changed twice), went over everything and stole the carb/fuel line/sediment bowl from the 45 since its down for paint and a jump and I had it running the night I brought it home....about 3 hours time.....here are pics the next day with it at our local spring antique show.

The reason I look kinda pissy in the first pic and Im hiding in the last is because I was pulling the sediment bowl out of the tank....plugged tight on me AGAIN....lots of rust in the tank and I even sloshed with stones and repeatedly rinsed it out.....gotta work on that.

Nice looking WC, Benny. Nice work getting it running so quickly. It may take a while to get all that rust out of the gas tank. Good thing your sed bowl is catching it vs letting it get to the carb!
Speaking of carbs...... I wonder if the dyno result has to do with the carb you borrowed from the WD45 - based on my parts books it's a different (likely larger jets) model.

I knew it was quite a bit bigger but figured since the factory carb was pretty well junk from water I bolted it on....and it works perfectly so Im letting it on there and rebuilding the other one I have for the WD45

a question for anyone that watches my video.....does it sound like that WC is turning high enough RPM's or not? I had the local guy that sold AC's since he was a young man(he's 80 now) and he thinks it was fine....it was wide open coming off the line and down the track. |
