I was running my b212 today and it was 100 degrees and I was trying to run some gas out of it since I don't run it much. I ran it almost wide open and about ten minutes later I idled it and it started backfiring every five seconds or so. It didn't do that when I started it

There is (or should be) a sediment bowl under the fuel tank.  You'd need to remove the left side panel to see it.  May have gotten enough condensation in the bowl that it got some down to the carb.  Easy enough to remove and dump out.
