does anyone know off hand with out going through agco what size the corks need to be to seal the ends of the 226 gas rocker shaft? |

I found small frost plugs at NAPA that were just right. I don't like the idea of corks disinegrating in my engine. Cal in Ct.

I, like Cal, would try improving on such a primitive thing as a cork rockershaft plug if I was rebuilding a engine.

I made a new rocker arm shaft for a MF-135. I drilled and tapped for 7/16-20 because the corks rotted out were responsible for wearing out the rocker arm bearings.

Thanks Fred Lowes had them . I had to buy a new shaft split two old shafts down the seam trying to use a better idea than cork.
