I don't know how to link it, but Nixon has posted the results for most of the tractors sold at auction in Washington, KS last weekend.

It seems like a lot of the prices seem quite reasonable. Guess I should have gone, oh well. Did anyone see a D10 crawler listed on the Friday sale bill? I think it had a broken bellhousing. Is there such a thing as a D10 crawler?

The price posting does not include condition so that is why some things look cheaper than expected. For instance, the backhoe had a broken torque tube, the WD45 diesel oil pan was off and as stated in other posts, several had stuck motors etc. I believe less than 5 tractors were fully restored.

I brought home the restored A. My grandfather owned that tractor from 1960 to 1983. I will submit the entire story at a later date as it is in the draft stage now.
My dad has been gone for several years now but I know what he would have said, "What the he!! did you want that old thing for?" and " That's too Gol Dang much money!" (you'll notice I cleaned it up a quite a bit! Secretly he would have been proud. Edited by JW in MO - 24 Apr 2010 at 7:36am |

JW, that's neat. It will be interesting when you put the story all together and share it with us. I remember watching you bid on the tractor.
