Hi guys I'm new to the forum but thought I would share my newest toy/project that I dragged home yesterday. I dug up some tires and towed it home about 55 miles without much issue other than its width.
Does anybody happen to know the length of the Main V-belt so I can try to source one locally at the auto parts store?



And since this is an AC forum here are my two WD's. Both have been in the family since new.

I live in a small town going through tough economic times so I prefer as much money locally as possible. It's the main V-belt listen in the parts book as "drive belt"

As for Tom at Yaz I will be ordering some twine and lower belts from him in the near future.

Welcome to the forum! Nice WDs. Does one of them have power steering? Like the rotobaler. Tom Yaz has anything you need for it. I believe he makes some of the obsolete parts himself.
I can definitely understand about wanting to help the community. The small town I live in has also taken a beating in the last few years.

No problem...My manuals dont have any belt listed simply as "drive"..however there is a "conveyor drive" belt which is a B46 --  21/32" X 49"   There is also another "drive" belt
listed that deals with the tractor interface...One for a WD,WC, and C. Not sure in what context; I am not the most versed person on this machine.  "Im not a rotobaler expert, but I play one on my website"....

Nope good ole Armstrong steering on both the WD's.

It would be the belt that drives the "twine wrap mechanism" as my book calls it in figure Q. Its the main belt on the left hand side of the machine if facing forward.

Looks through all the diagram in this manual it only shows that one belt, and then of course the 6 upper and 6 lower forming belts. Hmmm is my manual missing some other belts?

Twine drive belt is B groove 109" long. Any auto parts store should be able to get you something close enough.

I'm from Ontonagon Mi, Wayyyy over on the west end.

So I was given sizes for 3 different V-belts on the machine. I'm not at the farm right now to look at the baler, but my original "operating instructions and Repair parts illustration" book only shows the long twine drive belt... and no others.

I have an original dealer parts catalog on the way so hopefully it is better, then i can figure out what parts I need and make an order with Tom.

You want the twine drive belt,  your machine is old enough not to have the conveyor drive belt.  Im not sure what the interface belt is but you dont have it.  Be sure to loosen the brake band on the lower right side before makeing a bale, it gets stuck and wont work right and could break the drum.  Run a few thru it and tighten the band up.  Roto Baler like lots of lubrication so dont spare the grease gun!!!  HTH

Looks like my info is for the later Rotobalers.  I have no mention of a "twine belt". I guess I need to find a earlier parts catalog. And I do hate those "parts illustration" manuals. Practically worthless as no part number is provided and the descriptions suck as is illustrated here....

I agree tom the "illustration" just has a generic name for each part which is useless as we have illustrated. Hopefully the dealers parts book that I have on the way has some part numbers then hopefully I can match up what I need with what you have.  Thanks again for all the help, this forum is a wealth of knowledge.

I guessed Ontonagon when I saw your pictures (the tough economic times was also a clue).  Our farm is near Calumet.  There's a guy in Baraga that has been using a rotobaler for probably 50 years.  He's been written about in Farm Show and Old Allis News.  He might be a great resource.  I'll try to find his number if you would like.

There is a guy in Keweenaw bay that has 3 or 4 of them and uses them yearly I know of. That's close to Baraga.
